True community impact isn't built overnight; it’s grown through shared values, consistent presence, and a heart for service.
Over the past several months, The By Name Project has had the privilege of watching a beautiful partnership blossom with Liberty STEAM Charter School—a journey that began with a simple visit and has grown into a powerful collaboration.

The First Encounter
It all started on September 6, 2025. Micah Vaughn from Liberty STEAM stopped by one of our park events to see our mission in action.
The school was on a mission of its own: finding a local organization to partner with that provides direct, tangible support to those in our community who need it most.
After seeing the heart behind The By Name Project, it was clear that our goals were perfectly aligned. Micah didn’t just see an event; he saw a way for students and families to engage with their neighbors in a meaningful way.
Hands-On Service
The momentum built quickly. On September 20, 2025, we hosted a large group of Liberty STEAM students and parents. It was a day filled with energy and compassion. The volunteers jumped right in, serving food and assisting with the logistics of the event.

But the most impactful moments weren't just about the tasks—they were about the connections. Our friends in the park loved every minute of the interaction, especially the time spent playing Bingo!
Seeing the different generations come together to laugh, play, and share a meal is a perfect example of what it means to be a community partner.
A Shared Honor
Since those first events, our bond with the school has only strengthened. On March 30, 2026, we were deeply moved when Liberty STEAM Charter School officially recognized The By Name Project as a community partner.
They presented us with a Certificate of Appreciation, a gesture that reflects the mutual respect and shared vision we have for our city.

We are so incredibly grateful to work alongside an institution like Liberty STEAM. Their commitment to teaching students the value of service ensures that the future of our community is in very good hands.
We look forward to many more Saturdays in the park together. To learn more about the school and their mission, visit Liberty STEAM Charter School.
If your organization or school would like to get involved, we’d love to have you join us at our next event!
